Join us for a meaningful celebration like no other. We will hold a Seder Dinner, guided by guest speaker Dr. Larry Mendelsohn, a specialist in the Reformed Jewish tradition, who will walk us through each element of the meal, and will explain its connection to the Messiah, as established for the people of Israel to celebrate their deliverance from Egypt. Dr. Mendelsohn has been a Christ follower since 1985, and has guided a variety of groups through the significance of Jewish events centered around the Messiah Jesus Christ. As instructors, he and his wife Sonya hold a Messianic Passover every year, and teach a course entitled "The life of Christ from a Jewish Perspective." Dr. Mendelsohn founded Little Rock Hematology and Oncology, and is a practicing doctor at CARTI in Little Rock.
Dr. Scott Stern is also a practicing doctor at CARTI in Little Rock. He is a founding member of the River City Men's Chorus and was able to sing in the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi in 2011. He contributes a rich tenor voice to the men's chorus along with singing in the choir at St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. He will be guiding us through cantillation - the practice of chanting from the biblical books of the Jewish canon; a musical and rhythmic repetition of a sacred phrase from a holy text.
